The Greeting Game

Honey and I have developed a new game. Whenever I get home, and after the initial greetings are done and over, Honey follows me to the bedroom. While I am starting to change, she jumps to the bed and starts rolling on it, barking, wagging her tail, and daring me to play with her.

Being the softie I am, I usually join in. For the past few days, that has been the new thing . . . to play for a few minutes. Here I am, trying to change from work clothes to home clothes, and I have this doggie jumping around, rolling on the bed, getting up and pawing my arm to get my attention.

So far, it's been fun for both of us. She gets the validation she always craves, and I get to forget about whatever happened at work, going into home mode.

Life's good for both.
