Rain, Snow, Cold, Go Away! Dog Park!
For the past couple of weeks, the greater Dallas Metroplex has been buffetted by rain, sleet, and snow. Sub-freezing temps have been the norm, and since Honey is an older doggie, walks have pretty much been put on hold. Walks are becoming painful in extreme cold due to her growing arthritis.
Today, the sun finally came out! Temperatures were nice and warm (low 50s), and the day was just so great, that I decided to treat the Honey Bunny to a treat: The dog park.
We hadn't been there since the end of summer, and she was jumping out of her skin when we finally pulled into the parking lot. She jumped, she ran, she had a ball. She walked around the whole place, sniffing the ground, greeting other dogs, and walking all over the place. Her tail never stopped wagging, and she loved every minute of it. I almost couldn't get her to come back home.
When we finally got to the car, she crawled into the back seat, laid down, sighed in contentment, and let me driver her home. She has been resting since then.
